Welcome to Year 3
This is an exciting time in your child’s learning journey as they begin Key Stage 2 and continue to develop their confidence, independence and curiosity.
In Year 3, we are committed to creating a happy, nurturing and inspiring environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. Our learning is guided by our core values of integrity, resilience, collective responsibility and creativity, which are embedded throughout all areas of school life.
We encourage children to demonstrate integrity by making positive choices, being honest and taking pride in everything they do. Through opportunities to face challenges and persevere, pupils develop resilience, understanding that making mistakes is a natural and valuable part of learning and growth.
Collective responsibility is developed through teamwork, kindness and respect. We encourage children to support one another, work together and understand the important role they each play within our school community.
We also place great importance on creativity, encouraging children to think imaginatively, explore new ideas, solve problems and express themselves with confidence. Creativity is celebrated across the curriculum and provides children with opportunities to discover and develop their individual strengths.
Throughout the year, pupils will take part in engaging lessons, exciting topics and a range of enriching experiences designed to develop both their academic knowledge and personal skills. We look forward to working closely with families to ensure that every child feels happy, confident and motivated to learn.
We are excited about a wonderful year filled with learning, discovery, creativity and achievement, and we look forward to sharing this journey with you and your child.
