Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE)/Relationship and Sex Education (RSE)
At Springcroft, we use the Jigsaw PSHE scheme of work, for all aspects of PSHE education. We will therefore be teaching lessons taken from this scheme for RSE. Our policy and scheme of work is reviewed annually by governors and staff. The overall topic for all children in the school is called ‘My Friends and Family’ and therefore many of the lessons taught are based around friendships and relationships with family members. The older children in Key Stage 2 then build on this learning. Below is a summary of topic areas covered by each year group.

Whilst we believe that our programme is very sensitive, parents do have the right to withdraw their child from aspects of the RSE curriculum.
