People Who Help Us Autumn 2 Topic.
During this topic we have had lots of fun finding out about the roles of people who help us. We have dressed up, learned about who to call in an emergency, had visits from the Fire Brigade, Police and Paramedics, and our role play area has been a hospital.
Messy Play Days
We have experimented with various textures, we mixed colours, we painted with paints, food colouring and shaving foam. We used our fine and gross motor skills to have lots of creative fun!
December
During the month of December we were busy performing our Nativity, visiting Santa, writing letters in our Christmas post office, eating our Christmas lunch and and preparing for Christmas!

The Shortbread Man!
We made shortbread biscuits in the shape of a man.
Look where he went to...
Then he was caught running out of the building! Where did he go?
05.02.18 We were very lucky, we had the opportunity to handling and observe a variety of animals.
Wow! Look at the introduction we had to our topic on Mini Beasts.
We handled, observed and learnt about Stick Insects, Leaf Insects, Rainbow Stag Beetles, Tarantulas, African Land Snails and Millipedes. We were really brave! We had a great morning. Thank you Carrie.
In PE this term, Reception have been transferring their gymnastics skills of balance, co-ordination, jumping, travelling and rolling onto the large apparatus.
